Hi,
I've created a new condition type for monthly hire charges. The net value depends on the condition value x the number of months. For instance:
Condition type ZVMS = £100
contract start date 01/01/2008
contract end date 31/12/2008
Net Value = £100 x 12 months = £1200
No problem so far. I got this working.
However I want the second year the rate to be £200 per month, the third year £300 per month etc.
I thought about creating the condition records with the following validity periods:
ZVMS = £100 01/01/2008 to 31/12/2008
ZVMS = £200 01/01/2009 to 31/12/2009
ZVMS = £300 01/01/2010 to 31/12/2010
I then create a contract with start and end date:
01/01/2008 to 31/12/2010
I would expect to see the different rates in the billing plan, but each billing date has a value of £100. I thought the validity period would determine the rates for the different billing dates.
This is what I expected to see in the billing plan:
Bill date 31.05.2008 £100
Bill date 30.06.2008 £100
...
Bill date 28.02.2009 £200
Bill date 31.03.2009 £200
....
Bill date 28.02.2010 £200
Bill date 31.03.2010 £200
Instead of that, each billing date has a price of £100. I assume this is because when I created the contract, the condition value for that period was £100.
I want to see the different rates in my billing plan, according to the validity period of the condition records that I've created. Does this make any sense at all?
Thanks
Michalis

I know the fields. They haven't got anything to do with my problem. In the billing plan screen I can see the different billing dates and values.
As I said in the description of my problem I have different validity periods for my condition values (£100, £200 and £300) and I would expect to see that reflected in the billing plan screen.
If for a period of 3 years I have 3 different rates for the same condition type and I have a contract for 3 years, how come I can't see the different values in my billing plan?
