Overhead template different overhead cost for different cost center

Hi,

My Customer have a requirement.

We would like to apply overhead cost in standard cost. We can not use costing sheet because additionnal cost must be different by workcenter in activities.

I tried to used Template to manage this but I m not able to specify on which cost center I should apply the additionnal cost. Overhead cost are applied unfortunatly on all materials and this is not our requirement.... Could someone help me ?

Hi,

I need to allocate overhead to materials in costing.

To do this I have customize costing sheet and it works fine.

However, we have an indirect production for which rate should be different by cost center.

Example : Overhead rate is 10 % and based of calculation is machine time cost. We have cost center A and cost center B.

Cost Center A consume 1000 € of machine time but do not consume a lot of indirect prod cost = 1 €

Cost Center B consume 100 € of machine time but it consumes a lot of indirect production cost (Maintenance ...)= 10 €. So the issue is that I can't use costing sheet because rate will allocate 100 € on cost center A and 1 € to cost center B.

That's why i need to use Template for costing.

When I have created Template with CPT1, I tried to manage this issue.

The problem is that line 1 without plant activation is applied for all material with costing sheet. Whereas I would like to apply it only if workcenter assembly is in the routin. This what I tried in line 2.

Line 2 does not work. No cost appear in costing and I m not happy with that.

Conclusion Line 1 is applied every where and I don't want this and Line 2 with activatio condition does not work.

How could I manage activation if I want this rule to be applied only for some identified cost center ??

Hi Stephene,

As per you statement 'The problem is that line 1 without plant activation is applied for all material with costing sheet.' - You can create a new blank costing sheet and assign your template to this costing sheet and maintain overhead key to only those materials for which overhead need to apply.

Also have you tried adding 'SenderProcessCostCenterGrp' in the plan activation method. This is not available in standard plan activation list, you need to active this in t-code CTU6.

Hi Bhaskar,

Thank you for your quick answer.

Regarding possibilty to manage overhead group on dedicated material it will not work in our case.

We have some materials which support operation on 2 different work center. So if we want to apply a differente overhead rate by cost center, it will not be possible...

I m checking the second solution your proposed. i will let you know.

SAP provides an OSS note 2249374.

Using user Exit COOM001 we could add cost center (KOSTL) in dependency of the costing sheet. I m also trying this solution.

How do we manage it in CTU6 ? I m not very familiar with this.

Hi Stephane

You need to activate this under row type Costcenter/Activity type. Please see attached screenshot.
