RFC Application Error in SXMB_MONI

I have a SOAP>RFC scenario via PI and I completed all the mappings (request, response, fault). If my SOAP>RFC test returns an exception I currently get the error text as defined by the fault mapping, but when I check in SXMB_MONI I see the message is showing as 'Application Error - restart not possible'.

Is it correct the status is showing as 'Application Error' even though I have mapped the fault message?

Hi Tony,

I usually use an ABAP proxy in the receiver side and I wrap the RFC. In this way you can control more efficiently the RFC call and to map later easily the exception and error situations in the ABAP side.

Hi Tony,

RFC messages you cannot monitor in SXMB_MONI only proxy messages you can monitor in SXMB_MONI, if you can able to monitor your messages in SXMB_MONI which means you have wrapped your RFC into service and generated proxy.

In the inbound processing some application specific error occurs then proxy program raise an exception which generated from fault message and send it to the caller instead of actual response. so the application error which you see in SXMB_MONI is the right one for fault messages.

Regards,

Praveen.
