Hello All,
We need to investigate the set up of the BO audit universe to enable us to start track who is using which report in our application.
Hence the summary of the activities and estimate needed to activate BO audit functionality.
System Details :
BO version : 4.1 SP 10
OS : Windows
DB : SQL Anywhere
In CMC under Authentication tab, refer the screenshot as below. I am unable to understand whether auditing is enabled or not.
Also, we have only server based BO installed with BI Launchpad and CMC and CCM available. We do not have BO Client tools installed. We use BEX queries to create reports.
Hence no UDT and IDT installed.
I know that there are very good notes on this topic on this KB. But can anyone please guide me on how should I start with the Auditing implementation keeping in mind above points specific to my system environment.
Help much appreciated!
Thanks!
Hetal
If you see ADS last updated with current timestamp means, Auditing is working. if you see any errors, you will see on the top of the page. Looks like you are good based on the screenshot. Now you can use Auditing universe to track the usage.
"Default" option will cover most of the scnearios to capture the audit. If you want to add more events to be captured or leass events, you can move the slide to Custom" and select the optiosn you want.

You should start with Admin guide, auditing section. It explains the basics.
