sap orders confirm quantity question

hello: we sap system version is ecc6.0,now we have a problem. There are 20 piece products stock in one factory and one warehouse. we system has 2 sales orders confirm quantity. First order confirm 12 piece and another order confirm 10 piece. now , I have to refresh the first order, the confirm quantity changed from 12 to 10. Normally the 2 orders confirm quantity can't greater than 20 pieces stock. please tell me this is my System configuration problem or sap bug?

I am not sure whether this 20 pieces are in Unrestricted. Moreover, what is the ordered quantity in each sale order?

it can never be !!! System would always confirm only to the extent of whatever is made available in unrestricted. In your case, you have indicated 20 pieces as stock and how system would have confirmed to 22?
