Hierarchy Values in the Report Output

Hi Experts,

I have a workbook assigned with multiple queries for different tabs, In one of the tab i want the values which are restricted in the filtered window for a characteristic info object to be displayed in the workbook output. The restricted values are a combination of both single values and hierarchy node values, I tried with the Text element but in the output it is showing as complex selection, I think this is because of the hierarchy node values in the restriction. So how do i come up with a solution for this so that the restricted hierarchy node values to be displayed in the workbook output. Any inputs are highly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

Hi,

create a bex query based upon your hierarchy. set a variable on it to be able to restrict it while prompting

secondly change all other queries which is used in your workbook and are using that hierarchy. you set a variable replacement path on your hierarchy-infoobject as "replace from query".

Finally in your workbook add the query of the hierarchy and I hope this will work out great for you.
