Hi gurus,

I have a requirement to avoid material going into quality when it is repacked. For normal production, it is ok to move to QM stock as an inspection is needed. But for repacking, it is not required in our business as we are only changing packaging materials like outside carton and label. We are using separate order types for normal production and repacking process. Is there any way to achieve this?

For repacking orders, you can manually change the stock type as "Unrestricted use" inside the production order-goods reciept tab before release.

Hi Piyush,

Thanks for your advice. We are currently doing that. Another option is to change the stock type in MIGO screen. The problem is, this is user dependent. If he misses on that, the stock will land into quality. Anyway, if no standard method, then I will go for some customization.

Please try the following (have not tested). You can have order type specific inspection types. Configure an inspection type first (e.g. Z4 copying 04). For repack order type, attach this inspection type. In material master QM view, activate that inspection type as well (along with 04 - normal) and do not select the 'Post to Insp. Stock' indicator for Z4.

Let us know the test results.
