Capacity Planning (Finite scheduling)

Hi all,

I am checking capacity availability in production order.

one of the work center is overloaded.

So I am doing finite scheduling.

But the operation is not getting despatched and operation timings are not changed.

The error system showing is 'Order 100000000042 operation 0010: No remaining av. cap. available in planning period'.

Now what is this planning period ?

What should I do so that in finite scheduling operation will be despached automatically and next time when I am checking capacity availability system should not show overload for the same order.

Hi,

for ur perticular time frame you have to maintain the capacity for ur work center. if overloaded then you have to check if at all the timings maintained in capacity header details screen is correct or not if yes then check the no. of avalable capacity if it is 1 and ur using 2 or 3 then u have to increase there also so that capacity gets to 2 time or 3 times of existing capacity.

Hi,

I can not change the timings for workcenter capacity and also can not change the number of individual capacities as these are actuals in the plant for work center.

When I am doing finite scheduling system should despatch the operation wherever capacity is avaialable.

but that is not happening.

My requirement is, system should reschedule the operation when I do the finite scheduling. which is not happening currently.

Hi Pradip,

Capacity is not available on perticular date on which system is showing overload.

But there are dates on which worcenter is underloaded.

So according to me when I do finite scheduling in production order, system should plan the operations on other dates and automatically it should reschdule the order. And that is not happening after finite scheduling.

Please correct me if I am wrong........

You are correct system should execute the finite scheduling in on line, ie next available capacity date automatically, I am not getting clue for that error message.

Mean while u can use dispatch operation manually, now system will do finite scheduling & and reschedule the operation to new start date. Select the correct strategy profile sothat system to reschedule in the forward direction (SAP___T001) at capacity planning table

Production order header ->Goto->capacity Planning ->select operation & dispatch manually-> see the rescheduling dates .

manual despatching of order was happening properly in capacity planning table.

The only problem is when I am doing finite scheduling in production order header, system is not despatching the operations automatically.

I am also facing the same problem, what you suggested above, could you please provide me a solution for that.
