    Hi Paul!

Seems you have specified a wrong gateway in the RFC Destination from SOLMAN to Satellite System.

In fact I don´t think you should enter any data on the "Technical Options" Tab of the RFC Destination. Put only "target server" and the "System Number", and try then the Connection Test.

    regards

    Antonio

      Dear Antonio,

We have tried creating new target system and system No.

but this vey basic option we tried diffrent options.

      THE PROBLEM ONCE AGAIN REPEATS

Trying to connect from DEV. to SOL is connecting

SOL to DEV is not connecting.

      I have done FYI options

deleted old systems and created new systems and try?

created by pinging with IP no.

      also tryed with host name

      but still error occours.

Please suggest me some expert options.

      Regards,

      Paul

      REGARDS

Replying in upper case is not helpful.

Is the conneciton trusted or not? If so we need to cover this area seperately after resolving the core communications questions.

    Let us assume

SOL is server1 with a sid of SOL and a system number of 00

The Client is server2 with a sid of CLT and a system number of 01

    From the OS on Server1

    1. Does a ping server2 work?

    2. Does a reverse lookup on server2 work?

    3. Does a telnet server2 3201 work?

    4. Does a telnet server2 3301 work?

    5. Does a telnet Server2 2601 work?

    6. Does the services file have the entry sapmsCLT 3601

    From the OS on Server2

    1. Does a ping server1 work?

    2. Does a reverse lookup on server1 work?

    3. Does a telnet server1 3200 work?

    4. Does a telnet server1 3300 work?

    5. Does a telnet Server1 2600 work?

    6. Does the services file have the entry sapmsSOL 3600

Turning on an SM59 trace and logging on via SM59 should give an RFC trace that gives an idea of where the problem is.

have you checked the rev_rd and dev_ms trace files on each system for errors?
