CCLM configuration - Housekeeping settings in solution manager 7.2

Hi Experts,

I am configuring CCLM for solution manager 7.2 and running the steps one by one.

There is a second step called” Housekeeping setting”. I don’t see any predefined UPL- SCMON settings on this step..Do we need to create one?

Will it not have anything when we run first time? . Is this an optional step ? without completing this step, can we run the next steps? ..like template creation..define scope..

I would appreciate all your inputs..

Thanks in advance

Hi Alexandre,

I have completed the steps of CCLM in SOLMAN_SETUP.

Even I noticed the Custom code extractor SCMON is running in the extractor administration, but the extractor logs show me the error"Data collection is not active in the managed system "XYZ".

How to troubleshoot and resolve this error.

I would appreciate all your inputs..

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Is UPL active on the target managed system?

You can check with transaction /SDF/UPL_CONTROL in the managed system.

Thanks Alexandre,

I am seeing it as active on the managed system.

if I run the program /SDF/SHOW_UPL , it shows the data is available only for 4 days.

Is it a normal behaviour?..

CCLM SCMON extractor is active and all phases are running/green but on the extractor logs , I am seeing "no data to fetch"..

what does it mean..Is the CCLM running successful really?

Thanks in advance

It means you have only 4 days of data. You need at least one month to get results.

Check the retention period in /UPL_CONTROL and make sure it's at least 15 days.

As for CCLM, the extractors are working properly, but there is no data available for extraction in the managed system (most likely because 4 days is not enough). You should check the extractor RFC as well.

You will setup the housekeeping afterwards.

Hi Alexandra,

Thanks for the reply.

Please tell me the procedure for solution manager 7.2 SP04. I am seeing it as optional step.

Should I not proceed without completing this step ( or) Can I proceed and set up the UPL/SCMON later?

Please tell me the exact procedure and best practice for SP04.

Hi,

The setup is different with SP6. You need to activate the target system's extractors first, and determine UPL prerequisites.

Settings should be populated automatically, then. Default is: Day = 0 / Week = 12 / Month = 18 / Year = 5
