Hi all,
currently my company has a very standard CRM Mobile Sales scenario in which an R/3 4.6c is connected to a CRM 3.0
For business opportunitied we need to connect a brand new CRM 5.2 to the sam R/3 4.6c thus having a R/3 instance supporting two connection to two different CRM systems.
We've try to find some documentation supporting this scenario without any success.
Anyone knows if a scenario with an R/3 connected to two CRM systems is supported?
Thanks for any help.
Kind regards,
Nicola.

Hope you havent forgoten to reward points :-).

You are talking obviously about an MCRM scenario.
It is possible with some extra configuration.
Perhaps SAP Notes
842477
895787

can help you.

Hi Praveen,
the problem is that note 842477 describes only the changes for PI_BASIS releases from 2005_1_620 onwards. Do you know if there is a MCRM scenario for earlier releases?
I'm facing a similar problem as Nicola right now (R/3: 4.6C; CRM: 4.0, a MCRM scenario for CRM 4.0 is possible, see note 632223): Another CRM system is already connected to the R/3, the only solution that I see for us at the moment is to add just the relevant replication objects to table CRMRFCPAR instead of using a wildcard there, luckily we have no overlapping objects with the other CRM system.

Alexander
Honestly though you can read all the notes you want on this, but you really need to get SAP involved on this. If you want to do anything with multiple system scenarios, it is a strong suggestion to have SAP involved with the work. I know that for a long time, multiple system scenarios were only supported on a per project basis.
Personally however if it were me, I would not even try the scenario. In the long run you will spend less money trying moving your existing CRM 30 to a newer version, that building the middleware "cluster" of two CRM using a single backend R/3 system. To make it productive it will probably take the same amount of time.
Take care,
Stephen
Hi all,
technically speaking the scenario seems to work even with our R/3 plugin 2004.1 SP13 and two CRMs 5.0 and 5.2 connected.
However I agree it would probably led to several Functional Problems... basically one must be really sure the consistency of objects shared among the different CRMs, e.g we discovered that we need to manage two different order types.
I fully agree with a SAP involvement in case we decide to go live with that.
Regs, Nicola.
Hi, we have CRM 4.0 and SAP R/3 4.6C. Our plans are to migrate a subset of the customer groups in CRM to CRM 2007. This is to avoid the big-bang implementation. There are many notes on the multiple CRM scenario setup, but its not clear if CRM 4.0 and CRM 2007 is a legitimate combination with R/3 4.6C. Does anyone have experience or comments that will assist us? I have asked SAP, and am waiting for a response.
Regards
Pooven
Hi,
We are also planning to have the Multiple CRM scenario with CRM 4.0 already connected with ECC 5.0 as backend and now we want to connect our CRM 2007 system to this ECC. There are several OSS notes available which mentions that as of CRM 5.2 and higher, the standard SAP system technically supports Multiple CRM scenario. But in our case we have CRM 4.0 and CRM 2007 that needs to be connected with ECC. Were you able to connect the multiple CRM system with R/3. Can you please provide the steps if you were able to setup this connectivity.
Thanks
Ankit
