ECC 6.0 Profit Center & Segment Wise TB, BS & P&L

Hi Experts,

We are implementing ECC 6.0 and the client is very specific on his Financial Reporting requirements. He wants Financial reports for each segment & profit center. I understand that this is possible in ECC 6.0 thru New GL Configuration.

Request you all to suggest what are the pre-requisites for generating such reports. Is there any requirement of Programming to be done for generating these reports. Basically I checked the Information systems tabs in easy access, but couldnt find any report which meets these requirements.

Pls do the needful.

Yes segment reporting is possible with New GL.

After activating the New GL, new nodes will be generated. Standard reports delivered by SAP should be good to achieve your requirements.

Does this mean that even in Easy access you will have a new tab - Accounting (New). As we get it in IMG?

Also, request you to advise which standard report can fullfil this requirement.

New GL configuration is a project itself - and (based on my experience only) it's a bigger project than the upgrade itself. The system will not "switch" automatically after the upgrade, you still use your old FI based reporting.
