Can Jco connect non-DMZ and DMZ?

Hi!

We have to create a Jco connection between a JAVA sys in a

non-DMZ area and an ECC(ABAP only) in a DMZ area.

We always get errors like:

com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (102) RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: Connect to SAP gateway failed Connect_PM TYPE=B MSHOST=velssi14 GROUP=SPACE R3NAME=RQ5 MSSERV=sapmsRQ5 PCS=1 LOCATION CPIC (TCP/IP) on local host with Unicode ERROR partner '10.10.110.5:sapgw00' not reached TIME Thu Jan 31 09:21:25 2008 RELEASE 700 COMPONENT NI (network interface) VERSION 38 RC -10 MODULE nibuf.cpp LINE 4601 DETAIL NiBufIConnect: connection pending after 60000ms SYSTEM CALL connect ERRNO 150 ERRNO TEXT Operation now in progress COUNTER 1

Please advise how to overcome this? Thanks! Point guaranteed.

    Hi QY_Z,

YOu have to work with your Firewall administrator.

When ever you are triggering some job on the firewall you will able to see which through which port it is trying to connect and secondly check about the DNS entries and route.

    Best Wishes.
