oCompany.Connect() downloads aprox. 3,5 MB

Hello,

I 'd like to connect via Di API (SAP BO 2007A) to Company databse using VPN or opening specific ports on server machine. As i tasted many information are downloaded while connecting to Company. I have few questions about this topic:

1.What sort of informations are downloaded while oCompany.Connect() fires?

2.Is there any way to reduce size of downloaded data?

3.Is it true, that only WTS based solutions are supported by SAP?

Best regards

Przemek

    Przemyslaw,

    The SAP Business One Administrators Guide does talk specifically about Terminal Services and Citrix for remote access. This is mainly to deal with noisy connections and slow latency that is inherent with VPN. While there is nothing to say that you cannot use VPN, I have never seen anyone one using it with Business One (forget with add-ons) that was happy with the performance that they get. Business One is a client server application where the bulk of all processing is done on the client. That can be a lot of information to pull through a noisy communication line and at worst a dial-up connection.
