BI and EP configuration using SAP Template Installer : One problem

We implemented SSO between BI 7.0 and WAS 7.0 using the SAP Template Installer. Both, the Java and ABAP stack are on the same machine.

The SAP template installer was initiated from the NetWeaver Administrator page in the portal

The Installer ran successfully and no error occured during the installation. Also, we successfully tested the SSO from Java to ABAP. But when we access portal from the Web Application Designer the portal logon screen appears.

When we used the "Diagnostic and Support Desktop Tool" to check the SSO. A red light comes from WebAS ABAP settings. The tool mentions the following:

Communication from BI Master System to J2EE fails.

The used RFC Destination (XYZ) is not indentical with the RFC Destination defined in the default in RSPOR_T_PORTAL(ABC__).

But, we did not enter the XYZ for any field during the SAP Template Installer installation.

Why is the RFC destination always being referred to XYZ?

    Dear Kartikaye

I would check table RSPOR_T_PORTAL to see if a default entry is defined there.

I beleive the XYZ is a standard SAP message that is called after the problem occurs, it's a generic message.

Check following oss note with information to solve this problem:

Note 963009 - RSPOR_SETUP: " No RFC destination marked as default"

    Please rewards point if helpfull

    Kind regards

    Tom
