Assets Values Correction

Hi!

In the begining of SAP usage, we loaded all assets values by using the transaction AS92.

Now we noticed that for some assets, we should have loaded values to another depreciation area.

Now we want to input manually this value only in FI-AA, without interfere in FI-GL.

So, we want to know if we have to use the transaction AS92 or there's another transaction that I can load this data.

And, if we use transaction AS92, we have to open AA period with transaction OAAQ.

Thanks for your help,

Marllovy

    Hi,

Yes, you have to use transaction AS92, then you have to open AA period with transaction OAAQ.

This is affected by the timing.

Are you still in the initial takeover year? If so, then AS92 is an option. But since it is a subledger only posting, OAAQ is not required. That only impacts document postings whether they are FIAA only documents or FI documents... but AS92 is neither so opening the previous FY is not required.

If this is in a year past the takeover than adjusting values via AS92 can be very problematic. I would never attempt to make the change on a widespread basis. Instead, just post adjustment entries using an appropriate TTY. This may require some custom TTY to be created or the use of the asset revaluation program. This is the preferred approach in my opinion.
