Can we assign global purchasing organisation to all company codes???

Hi,

The following forms of purchasing exist:

Corporate-group-wide

A purchasing organization procures for all the company codes belonging to a client.

Company-specific

A purchasing organization procures for just one company code.

Plant-specific

A purchasing organization procures for a plant.

Mixed forms are possible, which can be replicated in the system by the use of reference purchasing organizations.

In your case, you can assign a purchasing org to all company codes, it would be corporate group wise purchase org.

If you want purchase organization for cross company, assign it to all plants in group of Comany codes. do not assign PORG

to any company code.

during the PO creation system will automatically picks up company code based on plant.

Hi,

Global Purchase Orgn cannot be assigned to Company codes.(Bcoz one Pur orgn assigned to one Company code cannot be assigned to another Company code.)

It is always assigned to plants of all company codes.
