SWPM System Copy

Hello SAP Community,

I'm new in SAP BASIS and I would like to do system copy using SWPM.

Where I cand find an how to guide with screenshots?

What are the steps (E.g : Export, Import etc)

We are on Windows with Oracle 11 so in our Test system we stay on Windows BUT we will install Oracle 12 on it.

What are steps t migrate/system copy from 11 to 12 ?

Thank you!

If you have done some search, yo would have found the answers by now. This is not a migration. This is just a DB upgrade. You need to first check PAM https://apps.support.sap.com/sap/support/pam for supported OS and DB combinations. If the present Windows version supports Oracle 12c then you just upgrade the existing database. The installation guides are available here https://websmp106.sap-ag.de/public/instguides - Database Upgrades - Oracle. Download and read the Oracle 12c installation and upgrade guide and get the database upgraded. Also update the SAP kernel to the one supported for Oracle 12c.

If the present Windows OS does not support Oracle 12c then you need to perform a system copy.

You can easily find guides here : https://websmp106.sap-ag.de/guidefinder
