Hi Experts.

Please let me know about the system landscape and what activities we do in each server. What kind of data is present in production , development and quality server . How we transport objects between all the servers.

After implementation which data is first transported in production server.

    Hi,

SAP R/3 landscape generally can be viewed as the path of transports.

It depends on the company how many systems they want to keep from Development/sandbox to Production server.

For example in my the landscape is

    Sandbox -> Development -> QA -> prod

How we transport objects between all the servers.

You have to to create the Transport Request for your program instead of saving under $TMP, once the development is over you have to release the transport request from SE09 or SE10 transaction by pressing truck button on toolbar.

In SAP Command Line enter T-Code STMS

A TMS window will open then go to Overview > Import Overview >

This will take you to the Import Overview Domain Window, which consist of list of the clients along with their import requests.

Now double click on the client on which u have to import the request.

Then Import Queue window will Open Now search for the Transport request number of which u want to import.

Now check the status of that transport request if the transport request is ready to import then only import it.

Now if the Transport request is ready to import then select the request and click on the Request > Import Request. A confirmation window will open just confirm the request and the request will be imported to ur Client.

    Regards,

    Satish

      Hi Dude,

Any System consists of two main categories of data:

i)Master Data-Data of an entity that rarely changes.

For instance: Employee Name,Date of Birth

ii)Transaction Data-Data that arises from daily activities.

For instance:while creating a Purchasing order the required entries (PO Header -Company Code,Plant &

PO Item-Item No,Price) are updated in the database.

So first the Master Data should be transferred to the PRD through any of LSMW,BDC etc.,

A Production system has the Real-Time(True) operational data.

The QA and DEV systems has only test(dummy) data for simulation purpose.

If you collect knowledge on this,Please share it with me.

      Reward if useful

      Thanks ,

      Lakshmanan
