Hi,
due a system copy with backup/restore I receive a full filesystem backup from the remote system... but I don't receive mirlog folders. Ca I use this backup anywhere... or should I repeat backup with mirlogs ?
Regards.
Ganimede Dignan.
Hello,
mirrlog folders are nothing but copies of the origlog folders. So you may copy them manually, provided that you have got origlog folders.
Make sure that you choose correct names, e.g. log_g12m1.dbf in origlog will become log_g12m2.dbf in mirrlog.
hope this helps

Hello Ganimede,
if you have one member of a multiplexed redo log group... it is no problem... you can continue...
Take a look at here (Point "Recovering After Losing a Member of a Multiplexed Online Redo Log Group"):
