Regarding condition types in a sales order

Dear Guru's

There are Amount/percent,value,delete fields in the condition types. If we put tick mark to these, we can change them in sales order.

But in salesorder there the conditions are shown in display mode.Pls tell me clearly wat is the usage of those fields.
