Budget Exceeded

Hi All,

IO was budgeted 10000 and the business user create a PO 10000 and assigned to IO 317. He able to add $5000 more to IO 317 by clicking the delivery complete in PO. So the IO is over bugeted 5k. The availability control is activated and it unable to stop from over budgeted. Tolearnce limit is 5%

Please advise to stop/prevent this from happening in near future

Hi Bali,

Check if Commitment Management is activated at the Controlling Area level also in order types .

Are you sure your avalability control is active?

If this is active you see the system status Availability Control Active on the IO, do you see that? If not then check the settings in the budget profile.

what action did you mention in the tolerance limit, is it warning,error, warning and mail to person repsonsible? If its warning and mail to person responsible ensure that you have the responsible person field filled in the IO.

Yes it is activated. Order type is working fine. Only time it give problem(over budget) is when delivery completed clicked in Purchase Order and than business user able to add $ to IO

Double-check your budget if a supplement budget has been provided.
