ADAM authentication and search with SAP Portal

Hi All,

I have an ADAM(Active Directory Application Mode) LDAP installed on a desktop.

I created 2 users and 1 group in the ADAM LDAP.

I am trying to connect from my laptop portal to ADAM LDAP.

The test for connectivity says success. Now I am trying to test the authentication with the user created in LDAP. But it fails the authentication process.

When I try to search for the LDAP group from portal, it pulls the newly created group from LDAP and displays in portal. If I try to search for the LDAP user, it returns no element. It is suppose to return two entries created in LDAP.

I feel that I have to update the dataSourceConfiguration_ads_writeable_db.xml file with some information. I have refered some help documents and changed some values which didnt help. Can anyone help me on this.
