Change of Valuation class

Can we change a valuation class in cost estimate ?

Are what r thr conditions to be satisfied for changing the valuation class which is already having valuation class 7900(semifinished goods) to 4000(Rawmaterials)

Can any one of you give me solution for the above

    Hi

    Once a material is assigned to a valuation class in the material master record, we can change it only if the stocks for that material are Nil.

    If the stock exist for that material, than we cannot change the Valuation Class.

    In such a case , if the stock exists, we have to transfer the stock or issue the stock and make the stock nil for the specific valuation class.

    Then only we will be able to chnage the Valuation class
