how to update the Bookmarks automatically ?.?.?.?

Dear Gurus,

We created few queries in BEx designer and published them on portal long time ago. For each of these reports which are published on portal there are around 5-10 bookmarks.

The issue is later when we made any changes to the existing query in BEx designer (eg: include new exceptions/conditions, include new nodes in the hierarchy etc...) the respective query which was published on Portal was able to pick these changes up automatically.

But the bookmarks build for that query are not able to reflect those changes when we run it.

When we re-create the bookmark. (i.e delete the existing bookmark and create a new one on the same lines) then it works fine.

As it is practically not possible to re-create hundreds of bookmarks each time we make changes to the query, is there any way/option where we can let these bookmarks pick up the changes automatically ????

will appreciate any advice

Regards,

Venkat

      Hi Venkat,

there is no chance. From the technical perspective the bookmarks lost the reference to the query. They are even more views than queries which represent the actual naviagtional states including Filters, variables and properties. Updating the bookmarks would mean that they would look like the query, because it is not possible to perform all navigational steps again automatically.

      best regards,

      Kai
