Cannot Create a ECC system

hi all,

I am facing problems in creating a external system through

portal.

After creating the system, filling in the required properties.

When i go for the connection tests it gives me error for all the three i.e. WAS connection, connector,ITS.

This used to work earlier.

Actually my real problem is i want to use this system's BAPI in VC 7.0,I am able to do this in VC 7.1 but not in 7.0.

If you want me to elaborate more i can.

If you want

Please help me.

Regards,

Nikhil

Here are some reasons why the connect test might fail:

    1. The user that you are logged into the portal with, does not exist in the backend ECC system. For example, if you tried this test while logged in as Administrator.

    2. The WAS and ITS links may not be have the correct port in the host field. (WEB AS Host Name and ITS Host Name fields) The load balanced port shold be 8100 when going to CI.

    3. The message server port or host name could be wrong.

I'm not to sure about VC. I do all my development in NWDS. One question, in VC do you specify a JCO connection or a portal system?

    Regards,

    Tom

      Thomas,

there is no JCO connection in Visual Composer.. the system object can be retrieved and the corresponding BAPI's can be searched based on the system and the BAPI is dragged on the development area and changes are performed...

      hope that helps..

    Hello ppl,

I created system based on a blog...

While doing the connection test the WAS connection was successful, but the connection through the connector is not working ..

    this is the error..

    Results

    Test Connection with Connector

    Test Details:

The test consists of the following steps:

    1. Retrieve the default alias of the system

    2. Check the connection to the backend application using the connector defined in this system object

    Results

    Retrieval of default alias successful

Connection failed. Make sure that Single Sign-On is configured correctly

Could you tell me what is the reason for this ...

I had created the same system two months back it was working single sign on was not configured even then..

    Thanks and regards,

    Nikhil
