Hi experts,
I need to do hardware size on new SAP on SQL Server. I found SAP runs SAPS benchmark on DL380 Gen 10(Intel Xeon Platinum 8180M, 2p56c) with more than 154K SAPS and that is suitable for my workload. However, 8180M is 4 times more expensive comparing to 6140M. Is it much cost effective to use DL580 Gen 10(Intel Xeon Gold 6140M, 4p72c) instead? Does it make sense and most importantly, much cost effective.
8180M is only suitable when there is need to run in a 8 sockets/processors server, is it correct?
