Learn ABAP Object : SAP Press book is a good way ?

Hi,

i would like to learn ABAP object, so the book of SAP Press : [ABAP Objects : ABAP Programming in SAP Netweaver|http://www.sap-press.com/product.cfm?account=&product=H1934] is a good teaching aid ? If not, which are the others possibilities ?

I think this book is a good point to start developing object-oriented ABAP. Although it would be helpful to have at least some experiences in OO...

Hi there

the book is probably good however all the other stuff posted by the previous poster is really INFORMATION OVERLOAD for initial learning.

The Really neat way to learn ABAP OO (and Web dynpro) is to download the trial ABAP Netweaver from the SDN. (Used to be known as minisap). It's FREE so no cost involved and installs easily even on a fairly modest laptop.

Then you've got the entire ABAP basis system which is great for learning OO.

Note - you won't have transactions such as SD (VA01 etc) but all basis stuff including ITS , Web server , Workflow, ABAP is available.

IMO the BEST learning mechanism for ABAP OO.

Note it won't install on VISTA(yet) so install on Windows XP or on a Windows XP Virtual Machine under vmware etc.
