SAP ASE Licence for SAP netweaver AS ABAP 7.51 developer edition

Hello experts,

Hello Julie Plummer,

The current license for ASE in the developer edition package will expire on 31st of March. Is there any plan to renew this license before this date?

The reason being i intend to use the developer system in the future long after march 2018

Hi Radu,

The ASE license (database) is separate from the ABAP trial license (application server), so you need to post this question on the ASE forum.

However, in the past, the license has been renewed.

At some point (soon), there should be a new download version, 7.52. We will then stop supporting 7.50.

If we later create an even newer version ("7.53", although it may not be called that), then we will stop supporting 7.51.

However, even if so, you can still transport your dev objects to the new system. See FAQs.
