Working in Java

Hi,

I need some clarification in java stacks. SAP system is running with central system and one J2ee server. When I go to transaction SMICM >Administration >j2ee local---> Send Hard Shutdown → Without Restart and I checked in this dir: \usr\sap\<SID>\<cen-

tral instance>\work\dev_disp, I suppose to get DpIJ2eeShutdown: j2ee state = SHUTDOWN,

but I'm not getting this instead I'm getting like

Mon Jan 28 10:29:52 2008

kernel runs with dp version 229000(ext=109000) (@(#) DPLIB-INT-VERSION-229000-UC

)

length of sys_adm_ext is 576 bytes

  • SWITCH TRC-HIDE on ***

shared lib "dw_xtc.sl" version 114 successfully loaded

How to check whether the J2ee is shutdown?

Expecting your reply.

Thanks

Ral

If u use windows u can check it through MMC but for UNIX u should use "PS" command "ps -ef | grep j2ee" should be useful.

    Hi Ral,

You can shutdown your java engine from MMC also.

If you have installed as standalone java system then you can directly shut it down through MMC.Else if you installed as an addon installation you can do this from the SMICM.

You have to choose j2ee cluster(global) then choose for shutdown with out restart. This would solve your problem.

    Reward point if helpfull.
