Data entry/ Reports

BI experts,

I am working on a proposal for one of my customers. I need some expert opinions on it.

Here is the requirement.

The User should be able to run reports on data saved in a cube through a portal - This is pretty straight forward.

However the requirement I have difficulty in figuring out a solution is, in some of the reports the user should be able to enter data in the portal and the data needs to be saved back in the cube....is this possible ...if yes how? I have heard about these options in the Teched...one of which is using IP tools.....but can somebody throw some light on it or if you have any other options>?. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Yashu raj

Using Visual Composer you can display the input screen, and can save the data by calling function module.

    Hi,

You are right here... Saving data back into cubes through input layouts is done using IP input-ready queries. You will need to delvelop a proper planning model taking into account the user requirements. If you dont know IP, you'll have to do some study and training on IP first. See the link below - a good starting point.
