Loading data from more than one cube

I have a cube from which I am creating my CVCs and there is another cube from which I am loading price data to the same planning area.

The cube from which I created my CVCs and POS have

char1, char2, char3, char4 char5

but the other cube that I am loading pricing data has only

char1 and price

WHen I am loading the data to planning area, I am getting the message saying that I donot have the combinations in the second cube and hence no data loaded.

Do I need to have the same characteristics as in POS for the other cube as well?

Are you using the Load Planning Area Version transaction /SAPPAO/TSCUBE.

Then use the Grouping Condition to select the appropriate characteristic level of the input Infocube - in your case Char1.

Next click on the Characteristic Assignment and do the characeristic mapping between Infocube and Planning Area: Char 1 <-> Char 1.

This should load price (keyfigure) data from Infocube to Planning Area at Char1 level and automatically disaggregate the Price data according to the Char. Disaggregation Type set for the Keyfigure. Make sure the Agg Type for the Price keyfigure is Average.

    Hope this helps.
