WM Moving material from Sto. Loc. to newly created bin in same location

Hi,

If I have material say Qty 20 in a storage location "A". And I create a bin in that storage location say "A01". How do I move all the material to this bin?

if materila is already existing in storage location A which is WM managed then it should be in a bin. in that case if you want to move to another bin then you need to create a posting change notification which inturn is converted to TO then confirm the TO and it will be moved to your new bin.

Hello Vikram,

Small correction for you, Posting change is not required to move material from one bin to another bin, you need to create directly Transfer order with mvt type 999 using LT01 and need to confirm with LT12 transaction.

Is storage location A is WM managed or IM managed?

If IM managed: You need not do any transaction to move that material in bin A01, just need to update material master for storage bin data (it is text field)

If WM managed:

Check out where is the material and then create Transfer order (LT01) using 999 mvt type and then confirm with LT12 transaction.

the quickest way to move all stock in a bin to another bin is with LT10.
