default storage location

Hi,

I have problem related to storage location. I have found the by default storage location of components.

I want to this storage location is not come by default, I have checked following area:-

 Production version

 Material Master – MRP View

 Bills of Material

 Routing component assignment

This above area no assignment,

Pl helps me for finding other area,

Where storage location assignment had done due to we have found by default?

Hey

1.Except those area u have mentioned storage location assignment had done due to we have found by default? : Work centre as Supply Area .

2.Goto MM02 with SAP material id and remove the Production Storage Loaction : ?? in MRP2 tabe pages.Automatically , it will not be copied to PV,BOM and Routing.

Hi Rajesh,

Please also check with "Supply area" assignment at Basic data view of workcenter.

Please check workcenter defiend at operation to which component having default storage location.

Have you given any plannig plant in mrp3 view. kindly check .Also just come back with what type of maerials you have used.

Dear,

Go to ox09. check the storage locations that you have assigned for diffferent type of materials. If you find all the storage locations for all type of materials you have created. Then delete other storage locations and save. Then you don't get this error.

Please be clear...In which transsaction system is defaulting the storage location?

When create the production order (CO01 ) see the component view find the storage location by defult.

Hi Rajesh,

This might come from the BOM.In the BOM Item data --> 2nd tab.. Issue location wil be there.

Or

It will be from Material master MRP2 or MRP 3 view there will be a field for S.Locn for matrial issue.

Removing the S.Loc from the above fields will prevent the automatic selection of S.Locn in the order component list.
