Remove batches with quantity=0 out of stock.

Hello folk,

when I list a detailed stock overview with SE16/table MCHB, a lot of batch numbers appears with quantity=0.

How can I remove those batches out of stock?

MB1A doesn't work. Do I have to delete all the lines manually?

there is an OSS note 62272 providing a report called ZREOMCHB.

After you ran ZREOMCHB you would not have less records in MCHA than before. just entries from MCHB are deleted.

MCHB is just the storage location segment of the batch record. .

one problem you can get is in case of a goods return or when doing a physical count. If you find stock in a location which segment got deleted, you need to create it first manually before you can post the count. Same problem you can get with archiving as well.

And MB5B report (stock at posting date) on batch level cannot get proper results after ZREOMCHB, At plant level it still works well.
