Error event not triggered for custom IDOC type

Hi,

I have created a new IDOC type and Inbound function module.I have created a new business object by using supertype as IDOCAPPL and created a standard task and changed the events to new business object events and acitvated the event linkages. To test this I have created inbound idocs from existing IDOCs with status 51. But the event is not triggering eventhough I have maintained the events in the functionmodule (WE42) also.

Event i.e maintained for inbound function module i.e INPUTERROROCCURED will be triggered by sap by just passing the workflow_result = '99999' in the inbound proc function module or we need to manually trigger the event in inbound proc function module using swe_event_create.Please advice.
