Batch management in QM

Can a QC process be established wherein a Batch record can be released only after inspection lot UD is “accepted". Will “Batch Rec Req” check box help?

No, it won't.

I think you might be referring to the Electronic Batch record req. approval status. That flag is set in the material master on the Work Scheduling screen and would block the UD from being made until the electronic batch record is approved. It does NOT block the approval of the electronic batch record if the UD fails which is what you seem to want.

That flag is really meant to make sure that the product is not released from QI via the UD, until the electronic batch record is complete and approved.

You might want to look at using the "Documentation Required" flag on the QM screen. (I think it was this flag.. LOL), When this is used in conjunction with batch status, you must post the batch from a failed inspection with a restricted batch status. It's not want you wanted thought with regard to the electronic batch record.
