Employee interaction center (HREIC, Web-Frontend problem)

Hi Forum,

i have a problem getting the EIC with SAP ERP 6 to work. I can strat the transaction HREIC and the browser window opens. The BSP starts procesing and so on ...

After a short while a new window opens (background window still on default.do with message LOADING ...) and i get a scripterror (like for javascript) saying that some kind of method can not be executed or is missing (very mysterious) or an event is not supported.

If in change value delta_handling_enabled to initial an than the controller (application_controller = '../hreic/default_no_dh.do'.) starts without delta handling the page is shown (not correct, but shown).

The second thing is, that i can not get the the contactinformation box, and the alterinfomrationbox to work.

Do i need additional business packages installed?

Remarks:

Customizing is done (if correct - i don't know - the thing is not workuing at all)

Org Management is assigned

I would ensure that you have the following technical prerequisites

SAP ECC 6.00 (SP Stack 07); Netweaver Basis Release SP 10

SAP NW Business Intelligence (BW 7.0; BI CONT 7.03 SP4)

SAP NW – TREX (Knowledge Search); Version 7.0

Employee Self-Service for mySAP ERP 2005 (HR portal roles)

On a side note you may want to touch base with the folks at www.eicexperts.com as they have participated in several ERP EIC projects and have a lot of expertise.

thank you for the answer (at least for a answer you should reward all 10 points but first i will have a look at the other formu you posted).

System,requirements will be checked at once. If it helps i will give the missing points...

Hi Jarret,

Do you know whether SAP NW TREX is essential for running Employee Interaction Center? Could I also use some functions of EIC without TREX?

The knowledge management functionality in SAP allows agents the ability to access enterprise intelligence (such as a SAPu2019s Text Retrieval and Information Extraction engine [SAP TREX]from their desktops. This expedites employee inquiries relating to specific legal or corporate regulations. HR staff can quickly and easily search for solutions based on corporate policies and procedures, frequently asked questions, and third-party knowledgebases, thus increasing the number of requests resolved on first contact.

TREX is only used within knowledge management (for EIC) therefore its need will ultimately be determined by the requirements.
