Data is never physically avaialble in the Multiprovider.

They are just used to create a union between two infocubes so that different fields from different infoprovider can be brought into the same report.

Rollup of aggregates are done to fill teh aggregates with the new data that has been loaded into the cube.

When a compression is done data is moved from F table to E table ..

Hi,

1. Aggregates are small type of cubes built upon cubes. Aggregates are build upon the requirement of the reports how frequently the user will be executing and how many characerstics are used in the query etc.

When you execute a query, if the query has suitable aggregates then it will fetch data from aggregates other wise it will extract data from cube.

2. When you compress data the data in the cube moves from F table to E table with compressing the data and the request id's will be deleted accordingly.

Cheers,

Malli..

hope this help you

Dear Jasil Babu

Aggregates are mini cubes. It will used for faster accesing for your queries. When the cube has aggregated, when reporting it will get all the possible data by defined methods faster.

(ii) When compression unwanted spaces in the target can be eliminated and used for further. Hence space will be more for data accessing. Here after compression you can't delete the data in data target but you can do selective deletion

(iii) Mulpiprovider follows :UNION" concept. You can conbine CUBE, DSO, INFO SET, INFO OBJECTS. While reporting it will get all the data, but physically it will not hold any data.

Hope you will get some idea.
