what is T item category in Po

    Hi,

    You can Use T,D,K Item categories if you are not using the Material Master for the creation of PO.

    But if you use D, K you have to enter the Account assignment category in the PO.

    But if you use the item category" T" there is no necessity of Account assignment category. and here system will not ask for any qty or price to enter, just if you want a PO for external purpose you can create the PO by using this T item category.

      Hi,

      External purpose means you need a one legal document for purchasing some thing from outside but with very less value/nil value without PO qty.

      For this type of PO there is no need of GR & IR is required.

      But to inform a Vendor for a formal process you will create a PO using the item category "T".

    Hi,

    T stands for Text:Used for Text based POs i.e. without material code , generally use for Blanket PO(very less value PO).
