Need help - Urgent

Hello All,

I have a situation where we have a webdynpro iView created in the portal. In that we have a button, when user clicks on that button the user should logged off and the default login page (http://xxxx.xxx.xxx/irj/portal) should appear.

We have tried the foceLogoffClentUser() API passing the URL. but its just displaying a message " Application Terminated" but its not redirecting.

We have used the portal navigation also using URL iView and the WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute API. in that case the on click of the button nothing is happening, it just stays in the same page.are we missing something in the role or user group assignment part?

Can anyone please help me in this as how can i do this navigation ?

    Hi

    Even I have used wdportalnavigation for logoff and it works fine.

    I used:

    WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute("ROLES://portal_content/<absolute path of logoff iview>",WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_INPLACE,(String) null,"Re-login",WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.NO_HISTORY,(String) null,(String) null,(String) null,(String) null,true,false);

    Please make sure that the iview path is given as per the path from role assigned to the user, i.e., append the iview id at the end of role id.

    Hope it helps.

      Hi Priyanka,

      Thanks for the reply.

      I have two questions here. It will be helpfull if u get time to ans them.

      1) One thing i am a bit confused is, do we need to assign both iViews (the main page and the logoff iView) to the same role and user group?

      2) Can you please elaborate a bit on the absolute path of the iView? where can I find that? do you mean the PCD Location?

      Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Anirban,

    just see the code attached for WDPortalNavigation. and check if u have missed out something

    WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute("ROLES:portal_content/every_user/general/eu_role/XXXXX/XXXX/XXXX/XXXX.<iviewname>",WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_INPLACE,"","",WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.NO_DUPLICATIONS, "","","",false);

    u can also try using a Link to URL UI Element in your webDynpro project and set the URL to the home page.

    Hope this helps u out

    Regards,

    Poojith MV

      Hey Poojit,

      Thanks man.

      the problem is if i use the link to url then it'll open in new window. which is not required.

      and can you tell me a bit about " /every_user/general/eu_role ".. is this a SAP default role?

      how can i assign my iView to that?

    Anirban,

    the problem with the link to URL can be solved by setting the target property of the URL to "_self". If this property is set then it will not open in a new window as we have also used this in one scenario.

    Regarding the generic roles i am not sure about it.

    but the URL funda will definitely work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi

    Specify the target property as _PARENT.

    It will work fine i.e. it will open the logoff page in same window.
