Flat File upload into Planning Book

Hi all,

I want to upload the data into the Planning Book through "Upload Data" in Interactive Demand Planning. While saving data it is saving perfectly in .CSV file. While i made some changes in the Csv file and i have tried to load the data again into the Planning Book, the values are not coming perfectly. The period values are distributing to other periods.

For Ex:

01/2008 02/2008

Adjusted Statistical Forecast Qty 613,456 756,456

I have saved the data in a .csv file and made changes to the values like 613,457 and 756,460 like that and saved the changes. But while coming into the Planning Book it is coming like this

01/2008 02/2003 03/2008 04/2008

613 456 756 456

but i need to shoe the values as like as i uploaded data.

Any one pl suggest me what are the changes/ prereuisites i have to take in this particular scenario. In the mean time it is very urgent.

I had an issue similar to this at another client. The culprit ended up not being the comma delimiter, but instead the system was viewing the data being uploaded in german decimal notation (i.e. 1,000.00 is written 1.000,00). Might want to check this as well. Try loading numbers larger than 1000 and see what the system does. I think a hotpack/oss note fixed the issue eventually.

A comma is generally used as a field delimiter in a CSV file. Try removing all the commas in your display before uploading the data. There are different ways to do this, depending on the software you are using to display/edit your CSV file.

      Hi,

      Many thanks for the information.

i have grouped the Keyfigures into History,Order, forecast and Financial. Each group having Keyfigures related to that particular group.

For ex: Sales Order Qty for History

Forecast Adjustment for Forecast like that.

i have saved the data for all the keyfigures and saved the data into a flat file as .CSV and changed the data in .csv file and again uploaded the data into the planning book. I have changed the values for the Forecast Adjsutment Keyfigure only, but in the planning book this is taking the values form the different keyfigures.

according to your suggestion i have changed the data in the excel file for the particular Forecast Adjsutment Keyfigure to TEXT in the "Format Cells Property".again the values are taking differently form the other keyfigures.I again tried with the different groups and loaded the data but it is working for the forecast group while iam not mixing them with other group keyfigures.

please suggest me what i need to do to get the values for the Forecast Adjsutment Keyfigure while mixing with the other groups.

Mean while i have edited the data in excel and saved with .CSV only.
