Hi all gurus,
My client is procuring material with lead time of 30 and 45 days respectively as per requirement. Here suppose if mateiral is procure it is procure based on the next month production requirement. i.e. March month material procurement start from last week of january or first week of feb. So my query is how we run this requirement through MRP (Material Requirement Planning). What procedure should be used here? Please suggest its urgent.
Rajesh

It is purely MTS scenario, How they are getting reqmts ( I think tentative schedule ) for how many months. If they procure raw material for 45 days before, they definitely get the tentative schedule before two months check with your client

Hi Rajesh,
The solution for your requirement can be .configuring & using Safety Time.
Refer the following SAP Help link,
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/f3/dbbb16b36111d1a6770000e83235d4/frameset.htm
A simple solution ( a work around) can be add the extra time period to the lead time.
Thanks & regards

Hii Rajesh,
Please check Planned delivery time for this particular material. You can maintain number of workdays in MRP2, with GR processing time. Since MRP for Raw material is based on certain parameters, you need to look at these aspects too.
for more clarification please come back.
