Hiding Iview title in Page Title Bar

Former Member

Hai All,

When I open a Iview, the Iview tile is shown in Page Title Bar. Inorder to hide the title, I opened Page Title Bar Iview(which is under Framework Page) and set the properties,

Show Object Name In Tray = No

Show Tray = No

Still the Iview title is shown in the title bar. Is there any additional step after this. Please let me know how to hide the Iview title.

Thanks & Regards,

H.K.Hayath Basha.

Hai Chinmaya,

What you said is correct. That's why I didn't upload the role into portal yet. I am trying to change the property of the template Iview first and then upload the role from SAP R/3.

Hai Chinmaya,

The option which you told, I have already done for a roles which has some 30 application. The roles which i upload from SAP R/3 will have around 100 programs. Like this I have to be upload many roles. So Its time consuming process to open all the roles and change the property of each Iview one by one.

Hai Harini,

I kept your option as the last once. Since I don't want to modify Page Title Bar. I was looking whether this can be achieved through configuration.

I have another idea, but don't know where to change this.

When I upload a role from SAP R/3 it creates Iview in portal, this Iview should be based on a template Iview which in portal. If I change the property of this template Iview, this is applicable to all Iview which is created in the system. But I don't know which Iview I should look for.

I dont think if u change in the template it will affect to the iViews already created.

So u may need to make the changes in individual iViews.

Hi Kuthbudeen,

Hope you checked my reply. In case you want to hide the title alone and not the iView itself, then try doing the same by customizing its par file and upload it to the server.

Hai,

I have imported a SAP R/3 role(Example : ZSAP_EXIT_Role. ) into portal This role has 10 programs. I attach this role to user. When the user login and he will see this 10 program in detailed navigation. When he click on one of the program(which is created as iview in portal) the program opens in content area and the program title is shown in Page Title Bar.

Hello

If the iView is inside a Role , then no need to change inside the default framework page.

Open the Role in the PCD,

select the iView or which one u want to remove the iView tray and title.

Open the iView and the iView property change the Show Object Name In Tray to No and

Show Tray = No.

Hope this helps.

Hi Chinmaya,

Page title bar iView is not a custom iView. It is also present in the default frame work page, It shows the title of the iView currently shown in the content area. You can check it under TLN having History and Back links. Please check on the documentation for better understanding.

Hi

Is that a iView inside Framework page ?

If that true then change the iView property what u have already mentioned and just preview it.

Is it a custom developed iView ?

Hi,

'Show object in Tray' refers to page title bar iView and if it is set to no, it hides the name of page title bar iView and not the text displaying inside the bar. If you don't need it, you may have to edit its corresponding par file. Instead you can open the default framework page and uncheck the visibility of page title bar. The whole page title bar iView will be hidden. Anyway it is meant to show the tilte only.
