    Hi,

    Welcome to XI.

You need the basic knowledge of JAVA i.e Core Java .That would be sufficient for learning XI.

For XI its not mandatory that you should know Java very well.

It would be an added advantage if you could do the preliminary coding of JAVA i.e. using for, while loops or arithmatic, strings operations, Even the knowledge of arrays will be helpful etc.

The preliminary requirment for learning XI is to know the basic architecture of SAP and concept of ALE/IDOC etc. Knowledge of any language either preperrably ABAP or JAVA will be also added advantage.

The people have Basis background could also explore very well in XI.

Plesae go through below links which are useful to start learning with XI.

First start with this three links u can learn a lot from this three links.
