Substitute material in MM

Dear friends !

Does anyone knows some functionality to use material substitute ?

Ex.:

Material A

But in case material A is missing we can substitute from a valid list to material B , C etc...

I know tcode PIC01 but only available with Industry Solution package installed.

best regards,

Ale

    Hi,

substitute material is nothing but Interchangebility as you have already mentioned it comes with industry solution packaged.

    in interchangebility we have

    forward interchangeble

    backward interchangeble

these can be mantained in the t-Code PIC01 and PIC03 in these t-code you will mantain the relationship of thematerial as below

Material A can be interchanged with Material B and Material B can be interchanged with Material A (Backward interchangebility)

Material A can be interchanged with Material C but with some rework (Forward interchangeblity)

    Regards
