Interchangeablity Groups

Dear Gurus -

I am trying to use the product interchangeability functionality and when I create a new Group and try to save it, I get the below message:

+For object /INCMD/GRP , number range interval 01 does not exist +

and when I go into the details of this message, It says

For object /INCMD/GRP , number range interval 01 does not exist

Message no. NR751

Diagnosis

The database table NRIV has the delivery class 'C', i.e. the SAP default settings are only in client 000.

Procedure

Create the missing number range interval in customizing.

Transaction code:

Where should I exactly create the number range interval for this kind of master data? I can only find the number ranges for orders in SPRO customizing..

Hi Verun.

I recommend you read Note 1057389 which gives very clear instructions for creating IC group number ranges as it can be a bit tricky.

The note includes useful Screen movies to help you through the process.

Hi Varun,

Go along this path:

SPRO->APO->Master Data->Product and Location Interchangeability->Maintain Number Range for Groups

There you can maintain the number range.

You can goto change mode of button, intervals and can maintain the number range for fields,

From Number and To number

Check if these are maintained, if not do it and it should solve your problem.

Maintain this in the first row:

From Number:00000000000000000001

To Number: 00000000999999999999

even you need to maintain the alphabets.

Maintain this in the second row:

From Number:AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

To Number: ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
