Using F-02 for posting values to material.

Hi,

I need to post a document posting values direct to material for TCODE F-02 and using posting key "89" that is customized for account type M (material), but the system returned the follow message error:

"Postings for account type M ( posting key 89 ) are not defined

Message no. F5204

Diagnosis

The data that was entered is inconsistent. Account type "M" must not be used in conjunction with posting key "89"."

I just see TCODE OB41 and OB32, and there are records in table BSEG for this posting key "89" by TCODE VL02N.

I need to know if this operation is possible or not by this transaction F-02.

Thank you for the helpful answer.

I just see OB41 and this posting key was correctly customized.

I need to know if the only posting of the values in material is possible for any transaction in SAP-FI, for example F-02, without change the stock. The transactions in SAP-MM change the stock for the material.

Somebody already got to make this type of posting ?

Hi,

and per your requirement for the definiton of posting key for account type M. you can follow the

the following steps:

- T-code OB41

- Go to the screen of "posting keys-List".

- Find "posting key 89" from the list and double click.

- Go to the screen of "Posting Keys-Detail".

- Select " Account type- material" and save it.

- exit.

You should use material document transactions to post MM transactions. A good general tcode is MB1C. Select the movement type that fits and process. It will post an FI document.
