I have a linked excel sheet which is being automatically replaced daily with new version. Sheet has ~10 columns of which 3 of them are date columns. When I was linking that excel sheet to the SAP DS, and when I imported schema of that excel sheet all column data types were detected correctly.
When there is at least one date in each date column in first 8 rows, everything works perfectly.
Unfortunately when this excel sheet is replaced, it sometimes doesn't have a date in first 8 rows in one of those date columns. And then when a JOB is run, I get errors for all cells containing dates in that column which didn't have a date in first 8 rows. Errors like: cannot convert the data to date. In the end date column is empty.
When I open excel sheet and sort dates so that when I save, I have dates in first 8 rows, and run JOB again, everything is OK.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
How to make sure that data from date column be read as date and not as varchar (or something else) if first 8 rows are empty?
