Hello all
We have a situation with Change pointers, We want to enable the field KATR5 ( Table KNA1) from DEBMAS idoc for change pointers. I have added this field in BD52 transaction for the reduced idoc type.
But i am not able to see any idoc if i change this field in customer master data. How can i trouble shoot chnage pointers and how can i enable KATR5 field for change pointers.
Any help is appriciated and rewarded with points.
hi,
Have you:
1) activated change pointers generally? sale -> Modeling and Implementing Business Processes -> Master Data Distribution - > Replication of Modified Data -> Activate Change Pointers - Generally
2) activated change pointers for DEBMAS message?: sale -> Modeling and Implementing Business Processes -> Master Data Distribution - > Replication of Modified Data -> Activate Change Pointers for Message Types

Jakub

Hi Jakub
I did all of that when i first enabled change pointers for these fields , now i am justing adding another field in BD52.
However when i noticed the BD52 after a while the field KATR5 is gone strangely. So i added it again and saved. Now when i chaged the KATR5 attribute in customer master data , a reduced idoc was created , but the chage isn KATR5 field is not reflected. The Field is just '/' .
Any thoughts on this please
Thank you .
Hi,
Slash "/" character is put into each field that will not be transferred ...
I guess that if you use reduce idoc type that you have to create a new reduced message type ... take a look one more time for documentation of: SALE -> ... Scope of Data for Distribution -> Create Reduced Message Type

Jakub
Hey
did you schedule the report RBDMIDOC in SM36?
if not,.then please do that, activating the change pointer won't automatically create an IDOC.
RBDMIDOC must also be scheduled to create them
Thanx
Aamir
